Mongoose XR250 Mountain Bike is a sub $500, entry level, mountain bike. Some of the many specifications are as follows:

Frame:  Shimono E50 Aluminum full suspension frame

Crank: Three Piece Crank that is Alloy

Wheels: Alloy wheels

Weight: 44 Pounds

PRO:  This mountain bike  features a sturdy, heavy duty frame that serves well the bigger rider.  It has wide trail marker tires.  So, you can feel safe while riding this bike. Overall, it has has a great structure and feel to it.  The shocks also hold up great after hard use. Also, it looks great.

Cons:  The bike is difficult  when you are wanting to ride up hills and if you are buying this bike for major off road use you will want to make some adjustments. For example, the rims that come with this bike are thin and the wheel axels are weak.  Also, the market seat tends to be quite uncomfortable.

Overall:  This is a good mountain bike for someone who does not want to or have $500+ to spend on a Mongoose mountain bike .  Also, if you are planning on using this bike for major off-road use you need to have a local bike shop take make some adjustments.  Basically, the Mongoose Xr250 this is a good bike for the money.  It is a great bike for commuting around town and the occasional off road use.
